One Week Out — Demo Refresh & 35% Launch Discount (July 23, 2026)
Butterscotch posted a “One Week Left” Steam announcement confirming:
- Full launch: Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10AM PT / 5PM UTC (same window as the April reveal)
- Launch discount: 35% off at release on Steam
- Updated demo live: reflects full-launch reworked Dudes and a preview of Trinkets, Wandering Dudes, Challenge Tiers, and other 1.0 systems
- Demo still uses the same Dude roster as before — all 42 Dudes arrive with the paid/full unlock at launch
Re-download or update via Steam if your local build predates this patch. Progress still carries over on Steam.

Butterscotch announced the 1.0 launch on April 16, 2026 after the demo exceeded 475,000 downloads and ranked among Steam Next Fest top demos. Key full-release additions:
Content & Roster
- 42 Dudes across 6 families with reworks to demo favorites
- New Dudes include Mummy Dude, Druid Dude, Alien Dude, Pirate Dude, Cowboy Dude, and more
- 850,668 possible team compositions with 5-Dude squads — over 137× the demo’s variety
Trinkets System
Equippable Trinkets drop from Act Bosses and amplify an entire Dude Type. Examples: Baseball Bat, Face Tattoo, Taser, Medical License, Therapy. You choose which Dude Type receives each Trinket.
New Wandering Dudes
- Food Dude — pick delicacies that boost a chosen Dude Type
- Promoter Dude — wager on underground fights
- Smuggler Dude — acquire Relics from families not on your roster
Challenge Tiers & Endless
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 unlock after beating the Tier 1 G.O.A.T. boss
- New final bosses, enemies, and metaprogression rewards per tier
- Endless Mode continues after any final boss defeat
Metaprogression & Ensemble
- More starting cash, consumables, and Pocket Dice unlocks
- Ensemble Mode slots unlock gradually via Silver and Gold Stars

Demo Patch v0.1.41-rc.13 (February 17, 2026)
- Pocket Dice now appear in the Ranch Shop restock row when available
- Combat speed auto-resets to 1.5× after boss rounds if previously set

- Windowed resolution changes now resize the game window correctly
- Custom GameMaker runtime fix for silent Windows crashes
